Kid, how you surprise me now

Wow this is one of the first times I have had some free time to sit down and just relax.
As you may have read in my previous blog I was headed for DEMF and then the Yeah Yeah Yeahs shortly afterwards.

So DEMF was a complete success...
Day One:  Lance and I arrived around 1:00 at the Hart Plaza, where DEMF was taking place. There wasn't anyone special playing that we knew of until later. We wondered around seeing if anyone that was playing would intrigue us, but no one did. It all sounded like the same stereotypical techno, with a repetitive bass and repetitive beat. So we wondered around letting all the wild people there amuse us.

I was waiting for Krazy Baldhead, a member of the Ed Banger Record Lable, that Justice, Sebastian, DJ Mehdi, Busy P, So Me, and many others belong to. He was pretty good. I really enojyed the people before him. The booklet thing said it was "Exchange Bureau" but in my opinion it was just a bunch of
different DJ's and rappers switching on and off. Some of them were awesome!

Day Two: Lance and I decide to just skip out and we go to Ann Ar
bor for the day, and plan to arrive back at DEMF around 7 to see RJD2 and DJ Z-Trip. They day in AA was nice, just wanderd around and went to our favorite store, and ate at Chipotle. Stopped at the Whole Foods on they way back to get some healthy snack food, and arrived back in time to see the guy who played before RJ. RJD2 and Z-Trip were
deffinatly the highlight of my time there. I vaguely remember listening to RJD2 often, but I knew some of his stuff. He had a great attitude and seemed like a really amazing guy. I'd like to hang out with him for a day, or even just talk to him for 10 min. After RJ's set, RJ and Z - Trip did a little due which was awesome, and pretty damn exclusive!

Then Z-Trip, I thought I had head, but then I went to listen to it on my iTunes when I got back and realized I hadn't. You should say he is a DJ similar to Girltalk, but different. Has his own style and I think he is a lot better then GT actually. He really knows what the crowd wants, and he owns the stage.

Day Three: The day we've all been waiting for. Flying lotus, Benga, Afrikan Bambaataa, Busy P, Bassnectar, Benny Benassi. We didnt go until 2:30ish that day, so to kill some time we went and looked at the Heidelberg Project. Its pretty neat, this artist went to these run down houses and made them all crazy and colorful.

its getting later. ill post later
